What to expect

Your skin is gently cleansed, and a thin layer of carbon is applied

Eye shields are provided to ensure your comfort and protect your eyes during the procedure

A low-energy laser is used to activate the carbon, which binds to the skin

A higher-energy laser breaks down the liquid carbon into tiny particles

The attached smoke evaporator removes both the carbon and impurities

After the treatment, your skin is gently cleansed with cotton and saline to refresh the area

Some flaking or dryness for a few days after the treatment may appear as a natural part of the skin’s healing process.

If you have sensitive skin, you might notice slight redness. This typically lasts no more than an hour.

Avoid using harsh exfoliating cleansers, scrubs, bleaching creams, or retinoids (Retin-A) for 3 days before the treatment.
Treatments cannot be performed on areas with suntan or sunburn, so refrain from prolonged sun exposure for 2 weeks before your session.
Be sure to inform your doctor about any new medications you may have started using.

Use your prescribed depigmenting or anti-acne cream after 3 days.
Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 50+ for several days, and moisturise your skin twice daily to keep it hydrated.
Avoid retinol for 5 days, direct sun exposure, hot baths, saunas, swimming, and friction on treated areas.
Skip exfoliating treatments for a week and refrain from smoking or alcohol.

You may not be able to take the treatment if you are -

Breastfeeding or pregnant
Have an active bacterial, fungal, or viral skin condition
Have psoriasis or skin cancer
